—Breaking News! Admiral Lucas of the Empire has dispatched his men, reportedly to find his date from the hotel last night!
The reporter excitedly asked a question: What would you do once you find them?
Lucas’ eyes glinted coldly: Kill them.
The crowd: ???
Why does he seem different from everyone else…

Gong’s perspective →
There’s nothing the short-tempered Admiral Lucas looks down on more than the whiny and annoying omegas in his life.
A significant other? Will never happen in this lifetime.
However, if he is forced to elaborate… He much prefers the gentle and honest beta secretary, skilled in both combat and academia, who can brew coffee and match clothes for him.

Shou’s perspective →
Luo Ran is Lucas’ secretary, and what he does is the most inhumane job in the entire empire.
He has to wait on the nit-pickiest superior who sits above him, and below him, he has to deal with the entire empire who dare not interact with the admiral, the admiral’s subordinates, coworkers, admirers… etc.
Not only that, but he also has to carefully hide the fact that he’s an omega, as well as his identity as the admiral’s “one night stand”… constantly facing the imminent threat of getting killed at any moment.
Until one day, he accidentally went into heat in front of Lucas, the sweet and lovely pheromone an exact match with the pheromone of the person from that night.
It’s over, he’s about to be killed now.
“How brave of you.” Lucas held the back of Luo Ran’s head, the other arm looped around his waist as he smiled, “Now… I’m going to kill you.”

Ran Ran and Lucas, what a charming and bumbling duo. Their love story unfolded不知不觉, despite starting earlier than they realized. Initially, Admiral comes across as intimidating, short-tempered, and irrational, but as the story progresses, we see his adorable clumsiness and deep bond with Luo Ran. They share many emotional moments and a shared history, which might explain why their feelings only became clear after their 'unplanned encounter.' It's amusing how the entire Empire shipped them without realizing it.
Their relationship is powerful and supportive, with Admiral's heartfelt confession being both hilarious and touching, knowing every detail about his secretary, from her favorite color to her quirks. The plot itself was engaging, even though I guessed some parts due to its simplicity, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story had a satisfying resolution, and the side couples added a delightful touch (I won't spoil those details for you).
I'm still buzzing with happiness - it's hard to express how much I adore this couple. A truly delightful read. Someday, I hope to experience their love story in its full glory, without the limitations of machine translation – I'm sure it would be twice as sweet!"
The storyline is riddled with cliches and cringe-worthy moments. For instance, the overused "kabedon" trope became quite unbearable for me. I couldn't keep up with how often it appeared. Unfortunately, I stopped reading halfway, so I don't know if ML's parents ever got proper names. The character's name, Lucas K. Augustine Dior Gucci Prada 〒▽〒, left me confused – whether it's a joke or not, I couldn't tell since I quit. If it's genuine, I'm curious about the reasoning behind such an unusual name.
There's a particularly amusing part where Lucas asks about the number of people in bed late at night during the old king's birthday, questioning if good fortune led to everyone's amorous inclinations. It's a comical scene.
I dropped the book due to its slow pacing, and another reviewer mentioned that it would've been better if it concluded in 50-60 chapters. If you're looking for a light read, you might still give it a shot. Who knows, maybe I'll revisit it someday. 😊
Remember, these are personal opinions and there could be aspects others enjoy more than I do.
I had hoped for a breakthrough where the truth about the MC being an omega would be acknowledged, but it never seems to happen. Instead, the deceit and pretending continue to拖累 the story. Despite their 200% compatibility, the MC expresses concern about the ML finding someone better in the future. For a character portrayed as intelligent and accomplished, this lack of foresight feels out of character.
I may be being too harsh, but the way the romantic relationship and its development are unfolding just doesn't resonate with me. The core facts – both being SSS Alphas and Omegas, their complementary nature, and the high compatibility – should drive a different narrative.
Please understand, my issue is specifically with the handling of the romance, while I do appreciate other aspects of the story.
Initially, I expected Lucas to discover his one-night stand's true identity early on, but the revelation was drawn out, nearly causing me to drop the book due to my frustration. However, the inclusion of flashbacks was a clever narrative device, effectively weaving the plot and providing context for character development and events.
One aspect I greatly appreciated was the departure from the stereotypical omega portrayal as weak and always needing protection. Luo Ran's strength and ability to hold his own in sparring sessions, even matching some Alphas, showcased his resilience. Additionally, I admired how Lucas never underestimated his mate, even using them strategically as pawns in their joint campaign against space pirates.
In conclusion, despite its pacing issues, this novel offers a refreshing take on the ABO genre and provides a decent read for leisurely entertainment.
